Write to a mounted NTFS drive

Asked by Sirmac

"You do not have write access to the specific directory" is the error message I get when I try to save ANYTHING to a Mounted NTFS Drive. Any ideas? If I boot from the Ubuntu disk in the safe mode it see's the drive and allows me to mount and access it. If I boot from Hard drive it won't.
I'm Back...................................... need some more help.

Bob :-(

Do this:
sudo apt-get install ntfs-config

And then run it via:
Applications > System Tools > NTFS Configuration Tool

Check both buttons shown and hit OK.

Now try writing to the NTFS.

Here's the weird thing:

I did that when I first mounted the drive, and it allowed Me, then, to even SEE what was on the disc, so that is working, thanks...however, if I save things to the location the computer chooses, which is on the /home/Username directory(if that's the term to use in Linux), I can then open the file, and "Save As" to the location of My choice. Make sense what Im sayin'?

Not really. Can you build a question on the problem you have?
