GUI to set domain name

Does ubuntu have a tool to set up network connections, in particular I need to set my domainname. Under SUSE this is done through the yast2 gui. Is there something similar as 'network tools' under 'system tools' does not give me that option.

"System menu" -> Administration -> [Insert password] -> Network settings -> General tab

It can also be accessed from the network monitor icon that can be added to the gnome panel as an applet.
Specifically, you need to set the "hostname" field.
As it will explain, this will require you to log out and back in (NOT to restart) before you can do anything else.
