Virtual image uable to copy

Has anyone made a virtual image on an HP laptop that can be securely copied for use on multiple laptops? And if so how was it done. The one we were able to create says it can't be authenticated for reinstall. We have VMware View Open Client also installed on the desktop to allow communicating with our servers. Any ideas?

Does this take an existing stripped down version of Ubuntu for a virtual desktop and make a perfect authenticated copy of it?
