incorrect administrative task password

Hi all, I am new in Linux (ubuntu). I have just install wubi which it install ubuntu 7.04. I am able to log in to ubuntu but when I am online, the update manager says that there are new updates but when I click "install update", it ask for administrative task password.

I did key in my user password but it don't work. Please advise what should i do.

Make sure that your Capslock is not on that can cause problems.

Thanks Michael, I have double check, the Caplock is not on.

Any other options that I can check my password?

Hello,

Make sure you enter the password in the language it was created. For example, if you created your password in English, make sure you enter it in English
