HI :)

Have you looked around in your log files? Also check the forum for another post on how to make your system more secure from SSH problems. There is a link at the bottom of this page but i really don't understand SSH
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Antivirus

Err the search tool at the top of the Community Documentation pages can often lead to interesting places. Perhaps you could find a link about log-files because as you have guessed i don't know but would be interested.

My guess would be that it's some pranksters or kids pretending to be the police, otherwise it might be unethical for me to help you. I am also going to edit your question because this is a public forum so email addresses and such-like should be restricted to your user-profile page
https://launchpad.net/~gregorywcox
Please edit your profile page to hide your email address to but keep your email address in there & then answers are automatically sent to the right place.

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

First of all, don't panic.
I'd say, log out, boot from LiveCD, backup important data, wipe the disk and reinstall new.
