Lucid Lync not booting

Below is the boot log for the kernel version 2.6.31-22-generic. I installed the lucid lycnx a week ago and was having a good time exploring ipod ,remoting to windows machines. Today morning (05/15/2010) when i unlocked my session the wireless wasnt connecting, so i thought of rebooting as i was experiencing wireless connection dropped for the past 1 week ( after the upgrade).
Usually the reboot helps, I would be able to connect using wireless. TOday after the reboot the boot screen displayed below message and stayed all time, i even gave couple of hours without disturbing, wondering if it is doing some disk cleaning/disfragmentation. but the screen goes off due to the screensaver option and i wasnt able to get the laptop booted.
I tried the recovery mode and it turned to be the same.

I finally booted the laptop with the prevous version 2.6.31.21-generic, I never raised any bug tickets and i need help in fixing this.

Please let me know what information I may need to provide for you all to help me.!!
