A simple way: you can add Keyboard applet to a Gnome panel (top or bottom, does not matter; just right-click on the selected panel, select Add, and select the applet from the list) and choose a combination of keys that switches the desktop between the two languages

And to add Hebrew support just right click on your new applet, then click on "Keyboard Preferences".
a new window shows up, choose "Layouts" tab, then you can see languages your system supports.
If hebrew isn't selected, then click on "Add" and choose your language !

after getting everything setup just click on "close"

then you will be able to switch languages by just clicking on your applet !

Can you help with this problem?
