Driver for ATI Radeon HD5750 graphics card installed on Intel i5-750 MoBo
Hello - I have recently rebuilt an older computer with a new motherboard and an Intel i5-750 CPU and a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5750 graphics card. I am using the 64-bit version of Ubuntu.
The available ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX graphics driver does not work and Sapphire does not appear to offer any Linux drivers - does anyone know of any suitable drivers? While the graphics card does work with the default (BIOS or whatever) drivers that are present, in a basic mode, it is not very satisfactory and occasionally the displayed image breaks up and the colours become misrepresented.
Any suggestions/advice appreciated.

ok does the hardware wiard not offer the driver? If no go to www.ati.com
and look in the top left, you can download the driver from there and run it (you will need to manually mark it as executable but this page will help)
