How do I download ubuntu 9.10 directly to a USB stick?

I have tried to download linux mint 8 to my asus 900A netbook. Iam usuing a 8GB SD memory card as my hard drive and run out of space on the card because the file is saved in the download folder. Is there some way to save the file directly to a 16GB USB stick.

Sorry I did not make myself clear.
I don't have hight speed download service at my home.I intend to take my Asus 900A netbook to a place that has a high speed wifi hot spot & download mint 8 ISO.

   How do I change the default choose from download folder to my USB stick?

Firefox will ask you where you want to download.
