After download(s) of certain files, I can't execute, I get:

/home/fred/download/setup-av-free.exe end-of-central signature not found. either file is not a zipfile or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case the central directory and zip file comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive.
zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of
/home/fred/Downloads/setup_av_free.exe or
/home/fred/Download/setup_av_free.exe.zip
/home/fred/Download/setup_av_free.exe.ZIP, period.

You simply can't execute Win32 executable files on a Linux filesystem, you need an emulator to do the task for you.
