Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.

Hi Camba, I'm sorry for the trouble that you are experiencing with your Ubuntu system. Could you please answer a few questions for me so I can hopefully help you?

1. Can you open a terminal and run 'sudo apt-get update' (without the quotes)?
2. If you successfully run that command, are you able to then remove the software like you had hoped?
3. If you're still having trouble, can you please let us know what method you are using to try and remove software?
4. Finally, can you let us know when exactly you received the error message?

Thanks in advance!
