login appears after 2 mins of not touching mouse

When I am watching a movie and do not touch the mouse or the keyboard the screen blacks out and when I touch the mouse or keyboard I am shown a login and must enter my password to continue use of the computer. The sound is still on during this process.

Try checking your screensaver preferences if you had ticked the "Lock screen when screensaver is active" checkbox. Uncheck it if it's checked.

Preferences->Screensaver.

Try increasing your your idle time so as not to be interrupted very often.
