Your message "can't open it" is unclear : have you successfully installed it but you cannot start the program ? Then what are the messages from the system ?

Or is it that you don't know how to open the file you have downloaded ?

In any case, it is better to install Tux Typing from the Ubuntu repository (use Ubuntu Software Center or Add/Remove...) than to download from the internet for installation.

If you are using Ubuntu karmic 9.10, Ubuntu Software Center is under the menu Applications, at the bottom of the menu. If you are using older versions of Ubuntu, it is called "Add/remove..."

One opened, you may need to select all the applications, then type in the search field "Tux typing" and it will show the program. Search for the install button and that's it. you'll need to provide your own password to be able to install the program and you'll need a working internet connection as well.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask jacquiline for more information if necessary.
