Restore xfce login manager on Ubuntu 11.10
Hello,
I have a minor problem that I'd like to get some help with.
I upgraded one of my laptops to Ubuntu 11.10 a while back, and realized I didn't particularly like the new interface. I therefore decided to install the xubuntu (xfce) desktop environment to "check it out". I very much liked the xfce environment and decided to also start using it on my desktop.
I installed xfce on my desktop (which then was still on Ubuntu 11.04) - everything worked fine, and I got used to the xfce login manager.
I then proceeded to step my desktop up to Ubuntu 11.10 - xfce works fine, however there is a minor nit in that I cannot seem to get the xfce login manager to work (as it did on 11.04). After browsing around on the web and trying a few things I have to give up and ask for help.
Therefore - how do I ensure that the xfce login manager is used rather than the "standard" Ubuntu login manager? As I said, on Ubuntu 11.04 this worked seamlessly, it's only after upgrading to Ubuntu 11.10 that the standard Ubuntu login manager "takes precedence".
Thanks,
