nvidia persistence in 9.10

I can change my screen resolution using the GUI for nvidia-settings but the xconf file fails to update as it cannot produce a backup. The change has to be applied each session.

sudo nviidia-xconfig; gksudo nvidia-settings

You can now click "save to x config file" once you configure your display

I'm very lazy and copy pasted the solution. Then I noticed the ii in nvidia. Once corrected it solved my problem. Thanks a lot.
