There is no "Ubuntu 15" there is Ubuntu 15.04 (Codenamed Vivid) and Ubuntu 15.10 (Codenamed Wily and is the current unstable release).
The 15th release of Ubuntu is 12.10 (Codenamed Quantal) which went EOL (end of life) on 16th May 2014.

Which are you using? If you are unsure then please run:

cat /etc/issue

and provide the output.

Thank you.

You can launch a terminal with CTRL + ALT + T
You can then copy and paste the text easily.

Are you just getting a low resolution on the desktop?
