Getting errors in Apper after upgrade to 12.04 Kubuntu

Asked by DaveRunkle

Just did the upgrade to 12.04 Kubuntu. Upon restart, I noted that my FX 5200 NVidia card was no longer displaying twinview and only showed the same screen on both monitors. I opened Apper to install the 173 x-drover package and gor these errors: E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
E: Unable to correct dependencies

There were no errors during the upgrade and allwent well, I thought. Any ideas?" I can't change any packages until this is resolved.

I suggest you uninstall the proprietary driver, then reboot, then reinstall the driver.

It is rare for proprietary video drivers to survive distribution changes

Can you help with this problem?
