I can not log in after install new Nvidia gts540 videocard...

I can not log in after install new videocard.

Also I can not log in after clean install.

Model is Nvidia GTS540.

After installing the fresh system, boot process freezes just before show me the login screen.

This happens with old stable release and the new one of Xubuntu. Is this a bug?

Try booting to root recovery console and run:

nvidia-xconfig; reboot
