diagnose (and repair - rescue) whole ubuntu (11.10) in use

   the ubuntu error occur may be after some update of 11.10 release - suddenly after become to unity it 'log out' and/or kill the X server probably always after with press more than 2 key (any one of keys and after any one of 'enter' key) and shows log in screen for users.
   i try download one of previous linux image package (ended with .deb) and run it but with next start sequency it turn to simlier resolution with display error 'Could not apply the stored configuration for the monitor'; bad appearance of icons and borders; unable to control cursor by mouse and no wire internet connection. by set at start for previous linux version, and selest one of them it can work with less performance than optimal - bad adobe flash or none, can not add internet browser add-ons.
   the point is everything do with harmony.
   i do tests (in this time on previous linux version) by phoronyx test suite a it return also errors in logs -for example in Xorg.0.log -

I suggest you uninstall the nvidia driver, reboot, then reinstall the nvidia driver. May help

   errors in log Xorg.0.log is fixed by open x server settings -> x server display configuration -> save to x configuration file -> save(or something with this meaning);(it wanted password or probably not - it is hard to remember);

by Déjà Dup (deja dup; backup) i was create backup, clear reinstall ubuntu, restore backup. it come with new problem: sometimes after press 'left alt' + 'tab' key combination it give bad visual and also it can hang(it can only restart). the problem with press of 'enter' key i try half-solve by: 1. At login screen, press Ctrl+Alt+F1 to switch to console mode.

2. Use your username and password to login.

3. Enter now these commands:

ls -Shla | grep “Xauthority”
sudo mv .Xauthority Xauthority.old
sudo shutdown -r now;
but when ubuntu return after screensaveing, it want user password (this was happening never before and i thing i not set it).
