What video chip do you use?
Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?
Did you install Ubuntu in windows using wubi, or did you boot to the CD and generate the issue you are seeing?

I installed with a cd. I think my problem is that grub update they installed with the cd. I don't have enough know how to change it. Thanks for the reply.

Please answer actionparsnip questions.
If you think that Grub2 was badly installed, which occurs sometimes, reinstall from CD: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2#Reinstalling%20from%20LiveCD
I read Google and it is possible that screen doesn't support resolution used by Grub2. Could you boot on Ubuntu CD, choose "Try" and report which resolution was used by default for the desktop.

I found my problem. I started startup manager and changed the resolution in advance. Restarted and grub come up.Everything is working fine now. Thank you.

I'm having this issue as well on a machine I've upgraded from 9.10, 10.04, 10.10, and now 11.04.

It's using nVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce430
Acer 19" (AL1913) LCD monitor
I did the MD5 test and it runs fine from CD. (When I used "Try Ubuntu" to play around before I clicked on "Install Ubuntu."

I'm running a multiboot system with Windows Vista, Ubuntu 10.04LTS and then my default of Ubuntu 11.04 which is the one having the issue during Grub since I'm unable to see any of the options because it's showing "Input Not Supported" from the time it starts booting until it shows the login screen and I login to 11.04.

Any ideas?

get startupmanager from synaptic package manager, click on startupmanager,
click on advance and change resolution, click on show boot splash and
reboot.

Are you able to open a Live session from Ubuntu CD ?
Is "input not supported" a message of screen not PC ?
Do you get it immediately at boot, with any Grub boot menu ?
Do you have a multi-boot with Windows ?
