nvidia Ubuntu 10.10 Visual Effects lost.

I installed CompIz, decided to remove it, and now I have no visual effects available in Appearances. I have an HP Pavilion dv 6000 series laptop with an nVidia 6150 chip. Suggestions?

Compiz is what gives the effects. You removed compiz so you removed the thing which gives the effects. If you install compizconfig-settings-manager it will install what's needed
