I cant set my resolution after installing drivers for nvidia graphics card

Asked by Andrija Glozinic

I installed ubuntu 10.04.1 and everything was fine except it was running on low graphics. Then i installed graphics card drivers and my resolution was set to 640x400 and i cant fix it. Is it the problem with graphics card or monitor? I am using nvidia geforce 7300gt and my monitor is samsung syncmaster 793df.

Open terminal, type:
sudo -i
give your user password, you will not see any screen chars when you type it, then press enter
and then try to configure your nvidia, type:
nvidia-xconfig
reboot
