Ubuntu 10.04 live lacks mode Safe graphics mode, F4 (present in vs. 9.04), screen tuns black. VGA=771 etc.:no result. What to do?

Run Ubuntu 10.10 beta (Live, without installing) after: F6-nomodeset, and adding to command line:gforcevesa.
