Nvidia gts 250 video card.

Asked by Oswaldo Berrospe

Hello:

I just Installed Ubuntu in my computer, but I'm experiencing serius trouble to get the videocard installed.
specs:
-Benicia Ipbl-bl motherboard (from a HP desktop).
-Intel Pentium dual@2.5 ghz.
-PNY Nvidia GTS 250.
-X-fi titanium sound card.
-4.00 ram.
-Hauppage TV tuner (1600)

It would be great if someone helps me to get it ready, since under this installation, the VGU fan is always at
high speed and it's noisy. I've found some tutorials about this topic, but I haven't succeded to properly install
the needed drivers. At the beginning of each session I get the message saying that ubuntu is running in a low
graphics mode.

regards'
Oswaldo.

ps: excuse poorly written English.
