Graphic Card Driver

Asked by Ryan Williamson

I have a nvidia gforce 9400gt graphics card and it worked on windows. But after I installed Ubuntu 10.04 it defaults to 800 by 600 resolution and I can't change it. I have tried to install the driver from nvidia but it says you don't have permission and I'm the administrator.

sudo nvidia-xconfig; gksudo nvidia-settings

Then configure the driver and click "Save to x config file"
