LiveCD display problem

Asked by Eric Fassbender

When I reboot my computer with the LiveCD in the drive, Ubuntu takes over as the OS, but the display is fragmented into thirds and shifted over from where it should be. The mouse still operates the "Try" button where it should be. When the desktop loads there is the same problem; the bar at the top is broken and repeated and the icons appear in the center of the screen - while the mouse opens the files on the far left. Impossible to use the OS in this manner. Ideas?
