THE SISTEM IS FROZEN

if i don't move the mouse for a litle while,de computer doesn't respond and it isGEtting black and is all the images gone .i have to hard reset.
I played the music i have in my computer and suddenly get foggy and doesn't respond eather.
i would like to check the sistem how i supposed to do it?
i want to check the video card as well, because somthing when i wachted a movie, the pictures neather appear!
