displays only half of the screen

i installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my netbook acer A0751H (processor # Intel Atom CPU Z520 @ 1.33Gz and RAM # 2Gb ) after the completion of installation when the system reboots it displays only half the screen. please help

What is the video chip used. The amount of RAM isn't very useful here
