Feedback on the Dell Inspiron 620

Asked by Kevin Smith

I've recently attempted to install Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on my Dell Inspiron 620 desktop, although, when I attempt to boot the machine, it hangs at "Stopping System V runlevel compatibility".

If there's anything you could help me with, it would be much appreciated.

https://i.muny.us/muny/zo - That's a screenshot of the graphics device. I don't have a dedicated graphics device yet, so that is integrated.

Use the boot option:

nomodeset

Integrated or not, it's all the same to the OS, it's all connected to the PCI-Express bus.

This happens when I attempt to boot after the install, how would I go about doing that?
