4:3 Display resolutions on latitude notebooks available?

Asked by Allo on 2012-05-15

With Natty, the Latitude e3210 Notebooks had a range of different display resolutions for the (widescreen) notebook display available, including some 4:3 resolutions.
with precise, there is only one widescreen resolution: 1366x768

this is a big problem, because the notebook cannot be used for a beamer presentation, as mirroring the notebook display to the beamer is not possible as long as there are no matching resolutions.

As the notebook had 1024x768 and similiar resolutions with natty, i think this is a regression in precise.
Do you know some trick to add the other resolutions again?

apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
