black screen when start up

dear sir or madam,
  i am currently using ubuntu 10.04 lts, and i really like it, however, the only big problem i met is that when the computer starts, it will sometime become black screen, then i have no choice just force to shut down and start again, the probability of start normally is really depends on my luck, so could you help me about this, i use thinkpad x201i, and the video card is intel gma hd.

same here with Lenovo X201i.... Ubuntu oneiric is only basic vga support for this laptop (intel hd graphics card embended into the i5 processor) ?
