Need help adjusting my Acer 751h Netbook screen resolution

Asked by Brenda

NOOB here:

I have just installed the Ubuntu using the windows installer on my Acer 751h (11.66'' 1366x768).

I'm not liking the display resolution (1024x768).

I went to System;Preferences and found a Monitors manager, but I cannot make any changes.

It does not detect my display. It shows as Unknown.

The browsing looks horrible as well. Please help.

Thanks!

thanks, it sort of fixed my screen resolution. The display looks much better, but now some images appear blurred when I move a window, kind of like scribbling, for a few seconds such as the notification bar in the far right top corner and the menu. I would upload a screen capture of my screen issue, but I can't through here. I can email.

Upload to imageshack and you can create a link from the image, also if you use dropbox you can put the image in public and upload the link here
