No graphical interface, only command prompt and then black screen

Asked by Faon

After installing Ubuntu 10.10 on a Acer TravelMate 8372z (Intel Pentium processor P6100 (64 bits)), the system starts only the command prompt, no graphical interface. Impossible to use Ubuntu in a friendly way, that's the first time I can't find a solution.
As I can read on the forums, the problem seems to be related to the screen and xorg.
Thats why I give you a copy of the log file Xorg.0.log.

Thanks for any help.
