Problem with LG monitor resolution

I am installed Ubuntu 10.10 for first one, but my screen resolution not work like Windows 1024 x 768 it's work 800 x 600. Note: I have Motherboard Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L with Vga Intel G31 and monitor LG Studioworks 505G.

Can you give the output of:

sudo lshw -C display; xrandr

The monitor isn't the device needing config. It's the video chip.

Thank you for your time and your interest to reply for my question. my problem has been solved.
I just uninstall Ubuntu and reinstall it again.
