Black screen after successfull login (Intel card)

Dear sir or madam,
How are you and hope you will be fine. sir
I am using Ubuntu and when I try to open or close any application my display crashes into black screen, then I have to reboot my system.
Tell me what should I do please help me out m new to Ubuntu.

I'm not an expert in graphic.
First thing to do is to disable Compiz: System->Preferences->Appearance, Visual Effect=None
After, you will have to provide name of graphic card.
Put the name in your question.

Could you provide name of graphic card and its processor (ATI, Nvidia, Intel) ?

sir i am using Hp pavilion a342 desktop . its inlet chip set Board aand graphic card is bulit in.

1) Can you confirm you disabled Compiz visual effects ?
2) Some people advise to add "i915.modeset=1" in Grub config file. Explained in http://ubuntu-tutorials.com/2010/05/06/ubuntu-10-04-lucid-blank-screen-at-startup-workaround/
