No video on Install

I am new to linux and I am trying to install unbuntu 10.04 on an old Gateway computer I have. Spec from manufacture below.

I start by booting from the CD. if I do nothing it goes to a black screen. If I press esc as it loads it brings me up to the main start page options. I am unable to select a safe graphic mode. It has normal, driver disk or OEM. If I go to install it goes to a black screen. I have search all over the internet and being new with Linux it is not making any sense to me.
