Problems with display size on HD Monitor 1 of 2

Asked by Mark Rivera

I am experimenting with Ubuntu 12.04 and have an AMD HD 6450 video card with an HD and DVI output. I connected two Samsung Syncmaster monitors and configured for dual heads using Catalyst. The monitor using the HD output has a desktop area that is not maximized....black edges around periphery. The monitor using the DVI output utilizes all of the monitor space (as it should). How can I configure the monitor using the HD output to maximize? Both are set at exactly the same resolutions (1920x1080) in catalyst control center? Ideas?

NikTh Thank you for the reply. I initially tried to configure from "Display". Same thing as before.

Then search the catalyst control center . I don't have an ATI/AMD card , but I am almost sure that it has to do something with the configuration from in there (catalyst).

Thanks
