Flickering when playing video's on ATI Radeon HD 4670

I was experiencing a screen flicker ever 3~4 seconds when playing videos.

Ubuntu 12.04.1 (x86_64)
VGA: ATI RV730 XT [Mobility Radeon HD 4670

As I was writing this, I tried it again & it was gone. Not exactly sure how this was solved but I very much suspect that my compiling of ffmpeg (https://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/wiki/UbuntuCompilationGuide) earlier solved it?

If you have a clue about it, please write back.

Possibly, it will be a newer version and you may have optimized it.
