Please open a terminal: ctrl+alt+t
Enter:
gstreamer-properties

Go to second tab 'Video'.
Default Output: Plugin -> drop-down list
Select from drop-down: X Window System (no Xv)

Close the application and test. Maybe it needs a reboot.

tried that and it didnt seem to help much, after a little digging about on google i decided to install a cpu monitor and noticed that when i used the default player it would max out at 100% and even the vlc player woz in the 80's, im using the proprietry drivers for the intergrated graphics.

Can you help with this problem?
