Attempted upgrade to 12.04 and it froze and now it wont boot

Asked by Aaron Siciliano on 2012-06-10

Attempted upgrade to 12.04 and it froze and now it wont boot. I get an error of INIT: ureadahead (336)terminated with status 5, or something similar. I am booting from the live cd right now and i can find and mount the drive and access all of the information from my hard drive but i do not know how to make the drive modifiable as it is read only right now.

Sorry im a novice with ubuntu and this is the first major problem i have had with it.
