Asked by vcolo

I changed the video card drive. Now I can't see anything.
What do I need to do to reinstall the right video card drive?

More info!
What model is your new video card:
What was old one?
What is your computer model, etc?
What version of ubuntu is installed?

What exactly happens? When can't you see anything, from the boot? Have you tried safe mode?

Its not a new card. I was trying to install Google Earth, and I don't know why I changed the video card drive. After I reboot, it was completely messed. Right now I am booting from the cd. I have a new version of Ubuntu, just updated.
I have an Asus motherboard with videocard integrated.

How can I boot in safe mode?

Okay, what do you mean by "Completely Messed"? The screen gets blank after boot? Try to describe *exactly* what is happening, not some generic "it is f*** up" terms.

Let me try:

It starts looking right. The name Ubuntu apears right. After it loads and go to the login screen, I can't see nothing. Stripes and dots only. To shut down, I had to press the computer turn off, and pres tab 6 or 7 times till I found the shutdown position. Can't see anithing but strips.

I finally solved the problem. I reinstalled the driver with this command:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure phigh xserver-xorg

Thank you for your help.
