Unable to get Ubuntu Login Screen after booting Ubuntu Os

Asked by Nirav Joshi

Hi All,
I had just bought the Sony Vaio VPCCA15FG Laptop.
Now on that i had tried to install the Ubuntu 11.04. it installed successfully.... but then after restarting my laptop , i had choose the ubuntu option from the boot manager option.
I wont see the login screen... it just give me black screen....
My laptop contains the 1GB AMD Radeon Graphics Card...
Does it cause an issue like can not be able to find the graphics card driver ?

i had tried with the ubuntu 32-bit image from the ubuntu site download.

Can anyone help to figure it out this issue ?

Thanks and Regards

Try the boot option:

nomodeset

I also recommend you use a wired connection and get fully updated.

Can you help with this problem?
