Just installed ubuntu 11.04 and now i have no graphical interface any ideas?

When I try to boot 11.04 it shows me the boot processes but doesnt tale me to a a login screen. I can log in through a command line but have no gui at all. It is installed on a dell laptop with a core 2 duo and integrated graphics. Any suggestions?

What video chip do you use? Integrated graphics can range from anything from a SiS to a Geforce thing. We need to know the video chip used. If the system has a make or model, what is it?

Sorry it had an ati hd 3670 onboard

Ok when you boot, do you get a black screen? If so, add the boot option:

nomodeset

I can't even get to the boot screen so how do I add it?

Hold shift at boot and you can add the option:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BootOptions

Thanks for all of your help. You need to uninstall and reinstall the xorg drivers for 11.04 your help was greatly appreciated
