touchpad appears as mouse in setting & doesn't scroll

Just upgraded to 12.04 from 11.10 and my touchpad doesn't edge scroll - this worked fine in 11.10. In System Settings it says I have a mouse, not a touchpad! My machine is a Samsung R730.

Try installing Synaptiks or some other related touchpad software and it should work.
