Touch pad on my Dell D420 doesn't work after upgrading to 11.10

Asked by ionajewel

My track stick and buttons work, but not the touch pad. The touch pad settings are available just as if it were working, although I had to reinstall the pointing devices app. I'm really not familiar with how to customize ubuntu or work with the terminal to resolve problems like this.

I use a Dell D420 and it works flawlessly :)

Doesn't one of the F keys with Fn key enable / disable the touchpad? Try pressing that

Can you help with this problem?
