lenovo 3000 G430 synaptics touchpad not working on Ubuntu 11.04
Hi
I have Ubuntu 11.04 running on lenovo 3000 G430 laptop. However, the touchpad is not working. I have tried seeking inputs on the ubuntu forums - searched all posts - followed all suggestions - but to no avail.
While 'xinput list' details that the virtual core pointer has the touchpad:
SynPS/2 Synaptics Touchpad id=13 [slave pointer (2)]
my touchpad refuses to respond and I have to use an external mouse.
I do not want to use the external mouse.
Kindly help
Many thanks in advance

Thanks a lot Andrew
Yes, it does work perfectly.
Am surprised that linlap.com does not show up in google searches (even going down several pages and done several times over several days).
thanks a lot once more
