I don't have mouse access from my laptop pad.

I just downloaded and installed UBUNTU 10.10 My keyboard works fine, but my mouse doesn't on my laptop. It's a dell inspiron 2650

Is it the laptop's touchpad that's not working, or an external USB mouse, or both?

USB works, just the pad mouse doesn't. Using the USB now.
