Mouse stops working after starting a video or audio file

Have Ubuntu 12.10 and my mouse stops working when i start an audio file or play a video. Have a HP nx7300.
The touchpad also stoped working. This has been happening with version 12

Get the problem just bywatching a video on youtube

Does it happen if you install xfce and run it there. You can install xfce4 package, log off then log in to that.

I am going to install xfce4 and see if it helps. This only started from some upgrade on version 10.04. Had no problems until then. Thanks for yr interst

Changed the configurantions of the sound and working again.
