ubuntu ps2 mouse driver

Asked by Shai Alfandari

I have Ubuntu 11.10 on Compaq Evo N1020v.
The touch-pad is working but a PS2 mouse is not.
How do I make it work alongside with or instead of the touch-pad?

Thanks in advance,
Shai

Should just pick up. If you boot with it attached does it work?

The PS2 mouse is attached to the laptop constantly.
I recently installed Ubuntu alongside with Windows XP.

Is there a switch to go between the devices?
Do other mice work?
Do usb mice work?

No switch to toggle between them, under Win-XP I might work with both.
Didn't try different mine nor USB one, yet.
Its a standard PS2 3 buttons wheel-mouse.

In BIOS, could you try "Lecacy USB Mouse/Keyboard"

Can you help with this problem?
