Buttons not working, mouse problems

Asked by Dan Janes

I just got Ubuntu so im new to this. Ok so i start it up works good but randomly about 4-5 mins in to every time i start it up i open a window or option and it wont close or do any thing. Mainly im saying my mouse is working fine (the moving around the screen part) but when i click (left or middle or right) it doesnt do anything. I have a R.A.T. 7 mouse and i also tryed a logitech anywhere mouse mx (wireless) and they both have the same problem. I have a wire HP mouse i could try (i dont think it will work tho). I know Ubuntu sells a mouse. will that work or is an other problem?

About my computer intel pentium dual core 2.20GHz 4 gigs of ram

Thank you to anyone that can help.

Try with wired mouse(probably it will work), Are u installed in hard disk or boot from live cd and working. Try to install to hdd and work. Install supporting files for mouse you are having from synaptic package manager.
